CHUANGRONG Pipeline in Mongolia
Oyu Tolgoi gold and copper mine is located in Hanbaoged County, South Gobi Province of Mongolia, known as one of the world's largest gold and copper mines, copper belt area equivalent to the scope of Ulaanbaatar city, the mine contains a gold belt slightly smaller than the area of Ulaanbaatar city. Preliminary proved copper reserves of 31.1 million tons, gold reserves of 1,328 tons, silver reserves of 7,600 tons. The mine began production in July 2013 and is expected to last 50 years. Oyu Tolgoi is expected to account for one-third of Mongolia's economic output by 2020. The 80-square-kilometer (30-square-mile) Oyu Tolgoi mine is the largest industrial enterprise ever built in Mongolia, with 7,500 workers.
Lutgun International LLC is our client in Mongolia, mainly purchasing HDPE pipes and fittings for mining projects. Last year, 50,000 meters of pipes were purchased for mining projects in Kudoman Province and Oyu Tolgoi gold and copper mine.
The Kudoman project is led by the Mongolian government and is located in a 20,000-hectare site in the western part of Kudoman Province. More than 20 kinds of mineral resources have been discovered, of which coal, iron and copper account for more than 40%.
This Kudoman project is a new attempt at green mining in Mongolia. It uses the full tailings-rubber combined filling mining method to build the first green, environmentally friendly and waste-free mining and filling system,becoming a new model of green energy mining in Mongolia.
