High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) piping systems are used all over the world for the supply and conveying of several kinds of media, including liquid, gas and powers as well as in mining and quarry applications.
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipework systems have the main advantages over steel and ductile iron systems if lightness of weight and freedom from corrosion. The rapid growth in use of polyethylene is due in part to benefits over steel and iron systems, but possibly more to the development of several advanced and easy jointing techniques. Polyethylene has very good fatigue strength and special provision for surges frequently allowed when designing other thermoplastic pipework systems (as PVC) are not normally necessary.
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipes are produced in size up to 2500mm in diameter, with nominal pressure rating PN4, PN6, PN10, up to PN25 (other pressure ratings also available). All pipes and fittings are manufactured in accordance with current EN12201, DIN 8074, ISO 4427/ 1167 and SASO Draft No.5208.

HDPE pipes have been in existence sicne the mid 50’s . The experience shows tha HDPE pipes is solution to most pipe problems being recogized by clients and engineering consultants as the ideal pipe material for many pressure and non pressure applications from water and gas distrutionto gavity , sewers and surface water drainage for both new & rehabilitation projects.
Application field: Drinking water supply pipe for urban and rural area, liquid transmission pipe in chemical, chemical fiber, food, forestry and metallurgy industry, waste water drainage pipe, mining slurry transmission pipe for mining field.
It heats the outer surface of the HDPE pipe and the inner surface of the HDPE pipe fittings through a hot-melt socket fusion machine, and then quickly attaches them after the surface is melted. Dn20mm-63mm HDPE pipe and HDPE fittings can use socket fusion connection.
1.Select the equipment
Butt fusion is to use a butt fusion machine to heat the end of the pipe. After the end of the pipe is melted, it is quickly attached, maintaining a certain pressure, and then cooling to achieve the purpose of welding. HDPE pipes with a size larger than 63mm can be connected by the butt fusion process. This method is economical and reliable, and the tension and pressure of the joint have higher strength than the pipe itself.
Electrofusion connection is to insert the two pipe ends to be connected into the fitting with the electric heating wire embedded, pass the electric current through the electric heating wire, heat the pipe fittings to the melting temperature and fix it to the interface for cooling, then forming a tight and firm joint. It includes electrofusion socket connections and electrofusion saddle connections. The guarantee of the stable quality of the electrofusion connection mainly depends on strict compliance with the prescribed operating procedures and the quality of the electrofusion fittings.
A pipe fitting that mechanically connects polyethylene (PE) pipe to another section of polyethylene (PE) pipe or pipe accessories. It can be assembled at the construction site or pre-installed at the factory. The methods are threaded connection, PP quick connector connection, welding or flange (including PE flange) and metal parts to connect and assemble.
